NEW ROUTE, SAME GREAT RIDE… 22 MILES!!!
BEFORE YOU START
A quick reminder…all riders must wear a helmet and sign the waiver at check-in. To help prepare you, we encourage you to view these safety tips before riding.
Once again, we have the partnership of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department, Richmond Police Department, Richmond Fire Department, Centerville Police, Centerville Fire Department, Wayne County Emergency Management, Wayne County Highway Department/INDOT, Rural Metro, Dublin Fire Department/EMS, Webster Fire Deptartment, Cardinal Greenway and several others. These groups all work hard to help make your ride as safe as possible. While you are making your way along the route – please thank them for their time and effort.
The 22 mile ride begins promptly at 7:30 a.m. from Reid Hospital located at 1100 Reid Parkway in Richmond. Here you will register (6:30-7:15 a.m.), receive your t-shirt, map, listen to great music played by Kicks96 – and get on your way after the “call to ride”. Riders will then travel west on Industries road to Salisbury road.
Well, okay…it’s not really the half way point but a 9 mile marker stop is located at Centerville Christian Church; on the corner of East Main and Morton Avenue in Centerville. Refreshments are planned – of course you are welcome to ride on through if you wish.
The route will then continue north on Centerville Road to Webster Road where riders will travel east to the Cardinal Greenway trailhead. Riders will then take the Cardinal Greenway south to Industries Road. The last stretch is Industries Road to the finish.
You’ve done it – 22 miles! Now, join in the festivities at Reid Hospital. You will find refreshments, massages, photo opportunities, music played by G101.3, and prize drawings.
